GEC exists to educate, encourage, and equip the grieving, as well as those who care for the grieving, with essential grief skills.

One of the greatest needs in our present culture is an increased knowledge of grief. We live in a grief avoidant society that does not want to recognize its own mortality. At the same time we are surrounded by death, both real and fictional. Our exposure to death is daily, whether it is in our news feed, movies, or video games. This over exposure to death, combined with grief avoidance, means that though we are exposed to death it is not something we want to spend time learning. Thus there is a need for grief education!
With this website we hope to help the grieving gain knowledge of grief, that will help them through the difficult season of loss.
